Ans:-trade and commerce :- seals were likely used as makers of ownership and authenticity for goods involved in trade.

* Administrative and the bureaucratic purpose:- The presence of standardised symbol and script on Harappan seals suggests their use in administrative and bureaucratic activities like record keeping accounting or official documentation.

*Symbolism and identify:-The various motifs patterns and inscriptions found on the seals contributed to cultural and social identity expression with in Harappan society .

Q :- The Harappan employed a wide range of materials for making craft such as vessels, seals and tools among others name any three such materials and the location from where they were sourced.

Ans:- copper :-  Essential for tools ,weapons, ornaments sourced from the Rajasthan, Balochistan and Afghanistan . 

Lapis lazuli :-vibrant Blue stone for beads and ornament .obtained from Badakhshan,

 Afghanistan. 

Carnelian- reddish-Orange stone for jewellery and seals .  Imported from Gujarat, Iran and Central Asia.
