We celebrate Independence day every year on 15th of August as a national holiday because on this day our nation get independence from the British rule. LONG INDEPENDENCE DAY SPEECH Good morning everyone !!! Today we all are here to acknowledge our privilege of being born in a free India and celebrate the 75th independence day of our country. We need to ask both born before 1947 to know the pangs of anguish of being enslaved under the Colonial rule. For every Indian in those days ,it was indeed a Herculean task to fight against those power British rulers. Those struggle and sacrifices should not get faded away from our memories. Thus, on this day we should not only celebrate our freedom but also pay tribute to those freedom fighters who fought for our country and sacrificed themselves for the same.
