                                 NOUN

Noun- A noun is the name of person, place, thing, quality, condition and action. 

किसी व्यक्ति  स्थान ,वस्तु ,गुण ,दशा और कार्यकलाप के नाम को ,नाउन (NOUN)  कहते हैं ।

   Eg- PERSON.         Ram

          PLACE.            Kolkata 

          THING.             Pen

          QUALITY.         Honesty 

          CONDITION.    Illness 

          ACTION.          Movement                    

       NOUN  is basically of two types -

1. Countable noun 

2. Uncountable noun 

1. COUNTABLE NOUN 

The noun which can be counted is called countable noun.  Eg- Veena, girl,  class, etc. 

  • Countable noun can be further divided into three types .
  1.  PROPER NOUN- The noun which denotes a proper person, place or thing. Eg- Robert,  Smith,  Rajesh, Ram, etc.                    
  2. COMMON NOUN- The noun which denotes common person, place or thing. Eg- Man,  Woman,  Boy,  Table,  Town,  School, etc.       
  3. COLLECTIVE NOUN-  The noun which denotes a group of person or other creatures or collection of things. Eg- A crew of sailors,  A team of players, a class of students, a fleet of ships, a bunch of flowers, a library of books. 
2. UNCOUNTABLE NOUN 
The nouns which cannot be counted. 
Eg- gold, water, oil, coffee, honesty, etc
  
This can be further divided into two types -
a.  Material noun
b. Abstract noun 

A.   MATERIAL NOUN- Noun which denotes material are known as material noun. 
eg-copper, silver, tea, coffee, ghee, etc

B.  ABSTRACT NOUN- The noun which denotes quality are called abstract noun. 
 eg-  wisdom, humanity, pride,bravery ,childhood ,etc.
